Healthify Meals ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information you authorize those services to share.
Profile & Dietary Data: During onboarding, you may provide dietary preferences, health goals, allergies, and other nutritional information. This data is used to set your targets, personalize recipes and meal plans, and flag foods that break your rules.
Food Log & Body Data: Foods and supplements you log, your targets, weigh-ins, workouts, and progress photos you choose to add. These are stored with your account so they follow you to a new device, and you can edit or delete them.
Photos & Voice: If you use a photo or voice feature, such as logging a meal from a photo, scanning a menu or pantry, or talking to the cook-along chef, that photo or recording is sent to our servers and our AI providers to produce the result. We only access your camera and microphone when you start one of these features.
Coaching & Challenges: If you buy coaching, the coach and Healthify Meals staff who support them can see your intake answers, check-ins (including weight, notes and progress photos), your plan and your messages. If you join a challenge, the people who run it can see your progress, and others in it can see your first name and standing where the challenge has a leaderboard.
Community: Posts, comments, and room messages you share are visible to the other people in that space.
Purchases: Which plan you bought, when it renews or ends, and any refund. We do not receive or store your card details.
Recipe & Usage Data: Recipes you create, save, or share within the App are stored to provide the service. We collect basic usage analytics (screens visited, features used) to improve the App.
Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and a unique device identifier for crash reporting and diagnostics.
Apple Health (HealthKit) Data: With your explicit permission, the App can read health data from Apple Health — including weight, height, biological sex, age, step count, active energy, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, body temperature, and sleep analysis. This data is used only to personalize your calorie targets, recovery coaching, and meal recommendations inside the App. A weight read from Apple Health is added to your weight log and stored with your account like one you enter yourself, and you can edit or remove it. HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never sold or shared with third parties or data brokers, and is not used to train AI models. You can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health, and connected-device data (such as Oura) can be disconnected in the App's settings.
Katie Highlights & Messages (optional, off by default): If you turn on "Let Katie see my progress highlights" (in Settings, when you join one of her challenges, or after a purchase), Gym Katie coach Katherine Eadie ("Katie"), and Healthify Meals staff who help run her coaching, can see your first name, how you know her (for example a challenge you joined, a Market listing you bought, or that you are a Pro member), when you joined, and counts from the last 30 days: days logged, days you reached your protein target, your current logging streak, workouts completed and challenge progress. These counts are calculated on our servers; Katie never sees your food log entries, weight, photos, health or intake answers, or email address through this feature. Katie may send you personal messages, some of which may mention her coaching services. Messages appear in your in-app inbox, and you receive a push notification only if you turn on "Messages from Katie". If you reply, your reply is shared with Katie. You can turn highlights or notifications off in Settings at any time, and "Stop messages from Katie" (at the bottom of every message and in Settings) stops her messages entirely. If you are one of Katie's coaching clients, she can always see what your coaching plan shares with her, as before. Deleting your account deletes these settings, the highlights we calculated, and the messages and replies tied to your account.
Healthify Meals uses artificial intelligence for recipes, meal plans, AI Katie chat, food photos, food and nutrition estimates, voice cooking help, and recipes imported from links or videos. Each request sends only what it needs to produce the answer, which can include:
We do not send your email address or payment details with these requests. Requests go to our AI providers, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, to produce the result. We do not use your data to train AI models. AI can make mistakes: anything it estimates is labelled and you can edit it. Always check food labels for allergens.
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, which employ industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. The App does not show ads and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account in Settings at any time. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Financial records of a sale are kept for accounting, with your identity removed.
Healthify Meals is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. For members under 18, the App does not set a calorie deficit or adjust targets automatically. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
